Maintaining and improving water quality in lakes and ponds is a great challenge in today’s environment.  Poor water quality in lakes and ponds is the result of inorganic and organic pollutant build-up.  Fertilizer run-off into lakes and ponds increase nitrogen and phosphorous levels causing algae blooms.  Algae removal and algae reduction are two of the most common solutions required due to excess inorganic nutrients.

Organic pollutants result from dead leaves, fish and wildlife waste and man made sources such as partially treated sewage.  Over time these organic pollutants form an anaerobic sludge blanket.  Over time the sludge blanket builds and depletes the oxygen in the lake or pond, causing odors and potential algae blooms.  The lack of oxygen makes natural algae removal/algae reduction impossible.

The LLMO System is a patented process for activating safe, natural bacteria on-site to improve water quality and remove organic build-up.  A Delivery System is used along with the LLMO products to conveniently activate bacteria on-site.  Without on-site bacterial activation, the bacteria would not be active enough or numerous enough to get the job done economically.

Depending on the configuration, either a Batch Delivery System or Continuous Delivery System is used to activate the LLMO bacteria.  With a Batch system, products are activated and added once per month.  With a Continuous system, products are generally added weekly while the Delivery System produces a continuous stream of concentrated, activated bacteria.
